The Beam Engine lamps are based on my studies and drawings of Victorian pumping engines, especially those in the Science museum and the Brighton Engineerium. The counterbalance mechanism helps to support the weight of the beam and the glass shade with its polished wood mounting ring. The low voltage led bulb casts a gentle pool of light for task or mood lighting. The column is made from bright steel and polished copper and it is mounted on a heavy cast iron base.
This lamp stands at 145cm (55½ inches) tall and it is 80cm (31½ inches) at its widest point. Taller or shorter versions can be made to your requirements.
